The Associate Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis provides collaborative support in all financial decision making pertaining to the role’s assigned brand(s). The Associate Manager's primary focus is to increase profitability through the strategic development and execution of data-driven brand plans and in-market activations. This role also supports the Senior Finance Manager in tracking and analyzing the assigned brand(s)’ financial performance and communicating trends and recommendations to key partners throughout the organization.

Key Accountabilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Support all financial planning processes within MHUSA with particular focus on the role’s assigned brand(s).
  • Collaborate with key partners on Brand and Sales teams in the elaboration of strategic plans, budgets, and financial planning estimates.
  • Establish and track comprehensive A&P budgets, in collaboration with assigned Brand team(s), and make data-driven recommendations to impact brand plans and profitability.
  • Coordinate monthly and year-end closings with the Accounting team (accruals, deferrals).
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly depletion and P&L analysis for Brand and Sales teams’ review and make recommendations, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Brand team(s) to develop, track, and handle monthly and quarterly Key Performance Indicators.
  • Help establish depletion goals by brand, state, and month, in partnership with Brand, Sales, and Operations teams.
  • Lead the analysis of risks and opportunities with Brand, Sales, and Operations teams for presentation to MHUSA senior leadership, Maison partners, and MH Global Finance team(s).
  • Ensure efficient usage of Anaplan and train others as needed to deliver the effective and efficient management of financial planning information.
  • Maintain a flexible and adaptable mentality by continually evaluating, revising and responding with agility to meet rapidly evolving business needs, and perform other functions or duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a financial field required; advanced degree preferred

Professional Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant financial planning or accounting experience
  • Wines and spirits and/or luxury consumer goods experience preferred

Practical/Technical Knowledge

  • Ability to work in a changing environment in a complex organization
  • Strong team skills and interest for cross functional interactions
  • Ability to understand customer needs and deliver customer centric solutions
  • Deep understanding of accounting practices and principles
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel advanced functions and PowerPoint
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong business/commercial orientation
  • Experience with SAP, Anaplan, and PowerBI is a plus
