We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Director, Corporate Finance. Reporting to the SVP, Finance, the role of the Director, Corporate Finance is principally responsible for providing financial modelling and analytical support to the Group on commercial issues affecting the business, such as: strategic initiatives; major capital investment decisions; key transactions; and in-house financial model development.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Director, Corporate Finance. Reporting to the SVP, Finance, the role of the Director, Corporate Finance is principally responsible for providing financial modelling and analytical support to the Group on commercial issues affecting the business, such as: strategic initiatives; major capital investment decisions; key transactions; and in-house financial model development.
A Day in The Life of Our Director, Corporate Finance:
- Partner closely with Project Managers as well as with Senior Management and business units to determine strategic objectives and OKR’s and identify opportunities to meet these goals.
- Partners with business leaders to provide input and guidance on business issues and to provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the line(s) of business.
- Delivers presentations to executive and senior management teams about financial planning and analysis.
- Forecasts impact of achievement of incentives and other programs.
- Provides oversight with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analyzes impact of external and internal factors on the business and progress towards financial goals.
- Analyzes projections with respect to various operating strategies, shareholder value measures, and other metrics or objectives.
- Performs sensitivity, scenario and what-if analysis as well as analyzes the financial impact of changes in business and new business opportunities/acquisitions.
- Conducts extensive research and industry analysis performance.
- Develops models and methods to analyze volume and margin trends to develop both short and medium-term forecasts.
- Leads various analyses including, but not limited, to ROI/ROE/NPV/IRR.
- Provides oversight and assistance where required to the accounting team especially during half and full year reporting.
- Minimum 10+ years relevant experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar field
- Proficiency with financial and accounting reporting systems
- Demonstrated ability to balance competing and changing priorities, move quickly amongst various taskings, and meet deadlines
- Adept at working independently as well as in a team environment
- Professional/Effective communication – written and oral possession of excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to consider and identify innovative solutions to improve operational efficiencies
- Able to thrive and influence within a matrix structure.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of empathy and emotional intelligence. Comfortable presenting and mediating issues with colleagues at all levels
- Excellent leadership within a Matrix structure, conflict resolution, and team-building skills; the ability to motivate, inspire trust and confidence, set goals, influence, and ensure the accountability of colleagues.
- Authenticity: must have a unique ability to help manage frequent and complex ups and downs, while being open and transparent with employees, fostering trust and being a resource in the middle of chaos. The right temperament and trust to build credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be compassionate, self-aware, and able to skilfully manage their emotions and those of others.
