The role of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager is crucial within the finance team, entailing the supervision of all financial planning and analysis activities. This encompasses tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting.


The FP&A Manager holds a pivotal position in influencing strategic decision-making throughout the organization. The preferred candidate should possess a robust foundation in financial planning and analysis, demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, and exhibit effective communication abilities with senior management. Previous experience working with a Private Equity portfolio company is desirable.


Responsibilities include:

  • Create and update financial models to assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Evaluate financial data, offering insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for managerial review.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting analysis to pinpoint trends and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with a Private Equity firm, overseeing financial performance in relation to budget and forecast, and communicating significant trends to the CFO and Private Equity Firm.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to formulate annual budgets and long-term strategic plans.
  • Provide on-demand analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Supervise a team of financial analysts.


Location:

4 Days Onsite in Brooklyn, NY or Lakewood, NJ


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA is desirable.
  • Accumulate 5-8 years of expertise in financial planning and analysis.
  • Demonstrate robust analytical abilities, translating intricate data into practical insights.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial information effectively to Executives and Private Equity stakeholders.
  • Showcase experience in team management.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intact is considered advantageous.
