Bloomin’ Brands is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join the dynamic Corporate Finance team. This position offers exposure to our senior executive leadership team. Successful candidates have a bias towards action and an intellectual curiosity to learn. Key responsibilities include supporting the consolidation and analysis of concept and corporate level planning and forecasting, analyzing key operational and business trends, and supporting cross-functional teams as well as wider Bloomin' Brands requests as needed.

Essential Duties

  • Perform monthly financial and business analysis of consolidated results vs. forecasted expectations utilizing the general ledger, subsystems, financial statements and collaboration with restaurant brands and cross-functional teams
  • Accurately report consolidated monthly and quarterly board level reporting including variance analysis and commentary; articulate the information into presentation format that is presented to the leadership team
  • Prepare schedules and perform analysis to support external financial reporting, treasury, and investor relations teams
  • Liaise with business leads to gather information, and provide reporting and information as needed in order to facilitate informed financial decisions to achieve financial targets
  • Report weekly sales and industry data to Senior Management including insight into trends and performance versus forecasts
  • Assist in the development and modeling of the consolidated strategic long-range plan including balance sheet & cash flow modeling, and scenario planning/management
  • Maintain consolidated finance reporting system- record, validate, and reconcile finance "street" and internal system adjustments for SEC and Senior Management reporting
  • Participate in meetings with Senior Management on trends and financial data
  • Develop and analyze annual plan and ongoing financial forecast for non-core entities
  • Maintain various industry benchmarking metrics and analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and other job-related duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, required
  • CPA, preferred

Experience/Skills:

  • Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to analyze and problem solve and a high level of intellectual curiosity
  • 1-3 years of financial analysis, public accounting and/or financial reporting or corporate accounting experience with a general understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement presentation
  • Must be innovative, independent and responsive to changing business needs with a commitment to continuous process improvement
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work and influence teams
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, required
  • Retail industry experience, preferred
