Senior Financial Analyst - Addison, TX (100k-110k)

LHH is working with a food manufacturing company that is adding a new Senior Financial Analyst to their team. This is a pivotal role that will be responsible for furnishing detailed data and analysis on business matters, strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. The role entails evaluating operational and financial data, as well as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), for due diligence and continuous improvement initiatives. We are seeking an ideal candidate with robust financial acumen, exceptional organizational and analytical skills, and the capability to communicate intricate financial concepts to diverse stakeholders. This individual will engage in various projects involving multiple stakeholders, create and maintain financial models, conduct intricate analyses using multiple data sources, identify opportunities for process enhancement, devise plans for capturing and utilizing supplementary data, and support the implementation of strategic initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business and operations partners to formulate comprehensive financial plans and influence investment decisions.
• Analyze performance, pinpoint areas of risk and opportunity, and propose recommendations to finance and business leadership for enhancements.
• Support the financial planning process at the department level, covering budgets, re-forecasts, capital planning, and long-term plans. Assist in defining and loading data into models.
• Consolidate smaller forecasts and models into the overall plan and reports.
• Conduct analyses of business units, portfolio segments, geographic territories, business lines, and acquisitions.
• Collect data to monitor and assess the performance of strategic initiatives, including the investment portfolio.
• Learn, develop, and maintain financial models and tools; become proficient in the budget forecast model, making enhancements as needed.
• Create relevant reporting, including data preparation, report generation, and quality control; aim to deliver insights, consistent data, and effective visualizations.
• Oversee business KPIs, reporting trends, variances, and issues, and take appropriate action, including proactive communication with business or financial partners/superiors.
• Provide data and analyses for periodic financial and operational performance reviews with business and finance teams, and the board of directors.
• Construct databases and prepare reports for senior management.
• Perform ad hoc analyses as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required.
• 7+ years of experience in a financial planning and analytical role is essential, preferably in a dairy/food manufacturing environment.
• Proficient understanding of SQL methods for querying various-sized datasets.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Knowledge of statistical tools such as R or Data Analysis in Excel.
