Title: Senior Financial Analyst/Manager

What You’ll Do

The Senior Financial Analyst/Manager supports the Duck Creek Customer Success organization's growth trajectory through the execution of key operational initiatives. As an integral member of the Customer Success Operations team, you will collaborate with your peers to enhance our customer success strategies and processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to various facets of customer success operations while supporting the entire Customer Success organization.

In this role, you'll be pivotal in steering our customer success strategies by managing key financial and operational metrics. Leveraging our Snowflake, PowerBI, Workday & Churn Zero environments, you'll manage departmental expenses and budgeting, establishment, and adherence to our KPIs to ensure the financial health of our customer success operations team and, by extension, the health of our relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Metrics Mastery

  • Harness the power of Snowflake, PowerBI, Workday & Churn Zero to analyze critical financial metrics, including Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Gross Revenue Retention (GRR), and Customer Health.
  • Transform data insights into actionable strategies, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive customer success and revenue growth.

Expense Management

  • Take ownership of departmental expenses, meticulously tracking and managing budgets to optimize resource allocation.
  • Work collaboratively with department heads to ensure expenses align with strategic goals and deliver maximum value to our customers.

Budgeting Expertise

  • Lead the development of comprehensive budgets, leveraging Workday & Snowflake data, and other financial indicators to create accurate forecasts.
  • Provide strategic insights to align budgeting with customer success objectives, promoting efficiency and financial sustainability.

Operational Efficiency Enhancement

  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements within the customer success department, focusing on financial implications.
  • Implement financial models and analyses to support decision-making, enhancing effectiveness and cost-effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate seamlessly with Finance, Sales, and Product teams to align financial goals with broader company objectives.
  • Communicate financial insights and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of the financial landscape.

What You’ve Done

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (two or more years) in financial analysis within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Expertise in utilizing Snowflake, PowerBI, Workday & Churn Zero, or similar customer success platforms.
  • A deep understanding of Salesforce & ServiceNow platforms is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, including NRR, GRR, and related customer success KPIs.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Complex problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills.
