American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payment issuer and partner for businesses with products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. The Strategy & Go-to-Market team sits within the GCS Marketing organization. This team spearheads strategic initiatives across GCS and launches new products and refreshes for small, medium sized, and global businesses.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Senior Manager is responsible for leading 360-degree go-to-market strategies for top GCS priorities, and the role requires a unique blend of strategic thought leadership and results driven implementation. This person will work closely with marketers, product owners, analytics, finance, risk, and GABM to generate strategic, data-driven insights to develop marketing strategies that will elevate customer experiences and better meet the needs of our customers. This is a high visibility role with the opportunity to shape how we go to market with our B2B brand, products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring Subject Matter Expertise: This person will leverage broad and deep marketing knowledge to lead product launches and refreshes
  • Define and Develop Strategic Initiatives: This person will lead E2E initiatives to deliver insights and data driven strategies designed to meet customer needs while profitably growing revenue
  • Turn a Love of Data into Actionable Insights: Uses data to analyze and assess performance, identifying areas of optimization and opportunities for unlocking growth and efficiency
  • Build Strong Relationships: Collaborating closely with marketing, product, and analytics to identify and prioritize areas of opportunity is critical
  • Wear Many Different Hats: This person should be motivated by driving a complex strategy forward from idea through to big impact
  • Lead with an Enterprise Approach: Focus on bringing value in high priority, strategic territories grounded in shareholder, customer, and Blue Box values

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing
  • Ability to drive clarity and results in “white space” and ambiguity and remain resilient in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Data driven, analytical problem solver with ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear insights, strategies, and recommendations
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and demonstrated ability to influence and mobilize cross-functional teams across the Enterprise
  • Highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills that can be tailored for various audiences
  • Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and project management skills with demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage and track multiple high priority initiatives simultaneously
  • Positive energy, good sense of humor, and a passion for innovation and transformation

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
