Zscaler is seeking an experienced Sr. Director to startup and lead our GTM Finance & Strategy function. As a key member of the GTM Finance team, this newly created leadership position will play a critical role in analyzing, modeling, and influencing the strategic direction of the GTM business on our path to $5B.

The Sr. Director, GTM Finance & Strategy must have strong business acumen, a deep understanding of the SaaS business model, and finance experience supporting GTM. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker that is able to work in a fast paced environment and has experience in growing and scaling business.

This position will be based hybrid in our San Jose, CA home office (in-office Tuesday and Thursday).

Responsibilities Include

  • Partner with key stakeholders in the business and across Finance to build a robust GTM long-range model and planning strategy, including country expansion, appropriate HC ratios, productivity, and other core metrics to define success
  • Develop recommendations for leadership on strategic resource allocation decisions, return on investment frameworks, and GTM strategy
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Channel to develop a comprehensive view of insightful pipeline analytics and reporting, highlighting areas of strength or weakness across the business, and recommendations for action
  • Define metrics and leading indicators of business performance to understand trends, and proactively identify areas of opportunity and risk
  • Own and refine the Sales Productivity model, socializing with key stakeholders, to support planning and actuals of effectiveness of field resources
  • Build cost-to-book (CTB) analysis, working cross functionally, to establish drivers and methodologies to best reflect cost of doing business
  • Develop customer lifetime value (CLV) analysis to better understand cost of maintaining a customer vs acquiring new
  • Establish processes and cadence for updating, socializing, and reporting on work streams. Work cross functionally to drive
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support based on business needs


Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive growth in Finance, Strategy, or Operations in a high growth environment. Enterprise SaaS experience and MBA preferred.
  • Experience in developing strategic and long range plans; able to translate strategic objectives to executable outcomes that can be tracked and measured
  • Ability to influence and provide recommendations to key executives in order to support decision making
  • Working knowledge and understanding of sales productivity, quota setting, territory planning, and sales compensation
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; capable of building compelling presentations and presenting recommendations and decisions to executive leadership
  • Highly analytical, fact driven, and process orientated, but comfortable challenging the status quo and setting new strategic/operational direction
  • Skilled at building and driving new frameworks and processes with cross functional teams
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to develop and manage financial models for business forecasting


Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$196,000 — $260,000 USD
