Job Summary:

The Strategic Finance Analyst will collaborate with Operational Leaders and Senior Management to create tools and reports to analyze data and ultimately provide insights that will help drive strategic decision making. This role will provide financial support for investment proposals primarily from the Product Development & Lifecycle Management (PDLCM) and Operations teams. This individual will be responsible for providing recommendations for improving the value of the financial information to senior management and providing guidance to business partners as well as provide support for enhancing financial reporting to Operations Leadership.

Job Details:

  • Partner with the PDLCM and Operations teams to prepare and support project financial models.
  • Provide input on revenue plan, manufacturing plan, and project spend for projects.
  • Construct detailed Cost Of Goods Sold models and discounted cash flow models, including Net Present Value /Internal Rate of Return/payback.
  • Work cross-functionally (Marketing, Supply Chain, etc) to validate modeling assumptions.
  • Participate in project core team meetings to provide finance perspective.
  • Develop and maintain monthly reporting deck for Operations Leadership.
  • Support Terumo Americas Holding, Inc. (TAH) group proposal administration.
  • Coordinate with Plant Finance and Commercial Finance teams to support forecasting.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses in areas of focus (e.g., inbound / outbound freight, direct labor cost, raw material inflation) per TAH/Terumo Medical Corporation Finance request.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proven ability to build and run complex, detailed and accurate financial models

o Excellent analytical, problem solving and forecasting skills

  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts and principles
  • Strong interpersonal communication (oral and written) and influencing skills
  • Must be proactive, organized and detail oriented while still able to see the “big picture”
  • Ability to effectively present information, with high degree of accuracy and respond to questions from senior management
  • Ability to challenge business assumptions, develop alternative scenarios and educate business partners on financial issues and concepts
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint

· Background Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance and minimum of 2 years financial analysis experience or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
  • Previous Medical Device or manufacturing industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (ex: Oracle, Power BI) preferred.
  • Experience with DCF, NPV/IRR, Make vs Buy analysis preferred.
