POSITION SUMMARY: The Strategic Finance Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial and strategic direction. This individual will deliver actionable insights to support high-impact initiatives and ensure customer and brand investments align with the company’s long-term objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across Thorne’s diverse sales channels, lead key components of the annual planning process, and analyze drivers of performance to influence decision-making at the highest level. The position reports to the Strategic Finance Senior Director and will have significant interaction with C-Level and other leaders across the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.

  • Strategic Decision Support:
  • Act as a thought partner and collaborate with Customer & Brand functional teams (and others as required) to provide robust analytical support for investment and strategic decision-making processes.
  • Provide clear, data-driven recommendations to executive leadership to ensure alignment between financial strategies and Thorne’s long-term business objectives.
  • Performance Measurement:
  • Monitor, review and provide insights to help functional teams evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and customer spend (e.g., pre- and post-event analysis for promotional events).
  • Partner with channel teams across the organization to develop metrics and dashboards that track progress against strategic goals.
  • Forecasting and Modeling:
  • Help lead key components of the annual planning process including forecasting sales and gross-to-net investments across channels.
  • Identify and implement improvements in Thorne’s forecasting and reporting processes.
  • Ad Hoc Analytics and Projects:
  • Participate and/or lead business projects as needed to drive short-term and long-term strategies.

Duties

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES / PROFICIENCIES – Satisfactorily achieving and/or meeting the following Experience, Competencies, and Proficiencies are essential duties of the job:

  • Experience and/or Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in corporate/strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, business operations, or related fields. The ideal candidate has experience or familiarity with consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or e-commerce businesses.
  • Strong background in financial modeling and analysis
  • Ability to problem-solving independently, prioritize workload, and complete tasks on time with minimal direction and oversight
  • Synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data, employ intuition and experience to complement data analysis
  • Build relationships and communicate with stakeholders across all levels and functions within the business
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and engage others in a positive manner.
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
  • Document and present work in a clear and concise manner.
